Terms of Service
Thesis Street is a place to publish and discuss stock theses. You keep ownership of what you write, you are responsible for it, and nothing here is investment advice.
1. Who we are and what this is
Thesis Street (“we”, “us”) is operated by [Operator legal name and registered address — to be completed]. It is an invite-only community where members publish investment theses on listed securities, record a call (ticker, rating, reference price, and an optional price target and time frame) and build a public track record.
By creating an account you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Accounts and invites
You need an invite to join. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
You may use a pseudonym. You may not impersonate another person, operate several accounts to inflate a track record, or sell, trade or publish invite codes in bulk. Invites you send are your responsibility: please only invite people you expect to follow these Terms.
3. Not investment advice
Everything published on Thesis Street is the personal opinion of its author. It is not investment, legal, tax or financial advice, not a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security, and not tailored to anyone’s circumstances. We are not a broker, investment adviser or research provider and we do not verify the accuracy of member content. Read the full Disclaimer.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you publish. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute and promote it on and in connection with the service, for as long as it is published and as needed for the track record described below.
Track records are permanent by design. When you publish a thesis, its call (ticker, rating, reference price, price target and time frame if any, publication time, follow-ups and resulting performance) becomes part of your public record. You can delete drafts at any time. You can ask us to delete a published thesis or your account: the text is then removed, but the call stays on the record (anonymized if your account is deleted), so that track records cannot be cleaned up after the fact.
5. Position disclosure
If you, your household or anyone you act for holds, or intends to trade within the next 72 hours, a position in a security you write about, you must disclose it in the thesis. If you are paid, compensated or otherwise incentivised to write about a security, you must say so clearly at the top of the thesis.
6. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Thesis Street to:
- manipulate markets, including “pump and dump” or “short and distort” schemes, coordinated trading, or spreading information you know or suspect to be false or misleading;
- publish material non-public (inside) information or information obtained in breach of a duty of confidence;
- promote a security in return for undisclosed compensation;
- harass, threaten or dox anyone, or publish hateful, sexually explicit or illegal content;
- spam, scrape, or interfere with the service or its security;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
7. Reporting and moderation
Members can report theses, comments and accounts. Our moderators may remove content, take down a thesis (it then shows a “Removed by moderators” notice and the author can see the reason), or suspend accounts that break these Terms. A suspended account can still read but cannot publish, comment, like or repost. We keep a log of moderation actions. If you believe a decision was wrong, contact us at contact@thesisstreet.com.
8. No warranty and limitation of liability
The service, including prices, performance figures and verification badges, is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Market data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment loss or for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on any content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these Terms or where required by law.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the product and, where required, we will ask you to accept them again. These Terms are governed by [governing law and jurisdiction — to be completed]. Contact: contact@thesisstreet.com.
